Affordable Transportation Services
Whitney Plantation
A unique Plantation experience. First &only plantation museum, that is a site of memory and consciousness. The WHITNEY PLANTATION pays homage to all slaves on the plantation itself and to all of those which lived elsewhere in the UNITED STATES. Walk amongst the sculptures of enslaved children that help to humanize the now distance past, of the plantation's past inhabitants.
Laura Plantation
Learn about French aristocrats, Creole colonials, war heroes, astute businesswomen and slaves. Will hear about four generations of love & greed, pride & betrayal, heroism & petiteness, as well as occasional violence. Guest will learn how Laura's grandmother operated the plantation for over 47 years and was very successful.
Oak alley Plantation
"Must see" designation on everyone's list of historic Louisiana sites. The guides provide the guest with fascinating history of the mansion, Spend time on the grounds, at the gift shop, on site snack/bar area or restaurant.
St. Joseph Plantation
Film location for QUEEN SUGAR, also 12 YEARS A SLAVE.
The facility is maintained and operated today by descendants of the Waguespack & Simon family. They purchased the plantation after the CIVIL WAR. There are exhibits that include tokens used to pay freed slaves who stayed on as sharecroppers after the CIVIL WAR. Come learn about the creole mourning the dead custom. Also, other historical facts about the plantation and family.
Destrehan Plantation
The former home of a noble French family. Built in 1787 by a free man of color and 4 slaves. See exhibits of the 1811 SLAVE REVOLT and an original document signed by President THOMAS JEFFERSON. Craft demonstrations given daily. Opening of ALLNIGHT video on BEYONCE' - LEMONADE ALBUM
Customize Private Charter
Multiply Plantations or a combo plantation /swamp tour. Your make the choose of what and where to go for the day. Tour admission Tickets are not included BUT purchase arrangements can be made via LET'S JUST RIDE LLC
4 hours minimum continuous hours with 100 miles included. FUELSURCHARGE PER LPSC order 46:2005 will apply to total cost of the charter if travels are beyond 100 miles, plus 21% gratuity will be added to total each ticket is 4 hours of time.
